Unlocking the Sounds of History

This season The Hanover Band explores the rich sounds of the 1840’s with performances of Rossini’s extraordinary ‘Stabat Mater’ and ‘William Tell Overture’ in St John’s Smith Square, London and Arundel, West Sussex.

During May we make our debut at the National Centre of the Performing Arts, Bejing, China with some of the finest Baroque music Handel’s ‘Water Music’, ‘Royal Fireworks Music’, typical of Hanoverian London in the 18th century. We are pleased to repeat this programme as part of Arundel Festival 2017.

We are thrilled that Danielle de Niese has agreed to perform with The Hanover Band at our Gala event at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday 27 June. She has been hailed as ‘opera’s coolest soprano’ by New York Times Magazine and ‘not just a superb performer, but a phenomenal one’ by Opera News.
